Wake the town and tell the people!

It is now official: Sly & Robbie, Bitty Mc Lean and Guillaume Bougard signed up to produce a new studio album, which will be recorded in Kingston this Fall with other top notch musicians such as Tyrone Downie, Dougie Bryan, Sticky Thompson, Dean Fraser… The album will be released jointly by Taxi and 48Bits in 2007.

Bitty has just completed two tracks on Taxi riddims which will be released in June as an appetizer:

1. "Real thing" is done over the original "Hold on to what you got" riddim, to which the multitalented Bitty added a scorching organ phrase;

2. "All that I have" over a new acoustic instrumental only Sly & Robbie are capable of.

In the coming days, these two tracks will be posted on Bitty's and Sly & Robbie's myspace pages, respectively:

as well as on Sly & Robbie's web site

About Bitty McLean:

Bitty McLean took the Reggae world by storm last year with the impeccable "On Bond Street" album, which he produced fro his 48 Bits label with Peckings Records. "On Bond Street" contains new songs voiced over vintage Treasure Isle riddims. "On Bond Street" marked the Bitty's return at the forefront of the Reggae scene several years after he scored a major coup with his "Just to let you know" debut album, which contained the multi-million selling single "It keeps rainin'".

About Sly & Robbie:

Sly & Robbie are Jamaica's most prestigious and prolific production team and rhythm section. Their constant exploration of uncharted musical territories has attracted Jamaican and non Jamaican artists eager to let the riddim twins carry them to new heights. Their Taxi label ranks among the very top Reggae outfits, alongside other legendary labels like Studio One, Treasure Isle and Channel One. They recently finished producing Horace Andy's upcoming "Livin' it up" album.
