About rastafarism

I'm new in this forum and my english isn't very good...

I want to know if somebody believe about Selassie was Jah and I want to know what are most important things for a rastafari and the most important things about the religion.

In few words I want to know in detail the culture and religion rastafarian.
If somebody can help me...

I'm not a Rasta but I will answer your question.
Selassie was a true dedicated Christian and preached the gopsel of Jesus-Christ. I do not believe he was Jah at all. He denied being God and pointed out that Jesus is the only source of salvation. And if you ask me what is most important thing in "culture or religion"?
being a christian is not a culture thing or a sort of religion (rites,...). Being a christian is accepting Jesus as my personnal saviour that forgives my sins by his sacrifice upon the cross of calvary. I'm dead to sin and am a new creation in Jesus-Christ. It doesn't mean I'm perfect, it means that I accept that I need God in my everyday life and that I find my joy in doing His will. God's desire is to have a personnal relationship with all of His children. So I read His word (Bible) and I pray as often as I can, that He can shine his love through me. Because God loves His children and all He wishes is to see them coming back to him. And if there is one thing in my life that I will never exchange.............it is JESUS' LOVE

A book of thousands pages, where there is no truth only research on God. From undreds took what they want from it, and say this is the only truth. The same as coran, torah or whatever.

From genesis to exodus, fi revelation. Who is the real prophet.

Elie, jeosephat, David, salomon, jesus, malachi.

So who was Haile Selassie ????

Nobody can answer this question for you brethren.

You haffi know it by yourself.

This the foundation of all spiritualation. Find your way.

You can may be helped by a master. But make sure that the truth still ina your mind for ever.

God is living, Jah is living.

And the only truth is love. till creation and forever.

you know it seems like a lot of Rastas have a really bad image of christians. One should know that the true christians, are not those you here about on TV...

People think that because the pope says he's a christian, that he's a christian, that because George w Bush says he's a christian, that all christians are like him...
only God knows who has accepted His gift of salvation, of liberation from sin.



The Bible is the word of God and inspired by the holy spirit through the prophets. But I agree that a verse should not be used out of its context.

hey, when I say that Jesus is the only way, it is because I truly believe He is, because I believe the Bible is the word of God where it is written that Jesus is the way, truth and the life, and that nobody goes to the Father exept through Him. I just explain what I believe in, and am not here to say "your wrong, I'm rigth" or anything like this.
The Bible is all about LOVE...'cause it is the Word of God, and God is Love

that is the only message I want to spread: the good news that there is salvation in Jesus-Christ. And knowing Him is a life changing experience, even more than that, it is living for Christ here on earth, loving the people in HIS name.

ps: and I'm not try to convert people here, anyway faith is a personal thing, so if someone seeks God with all of His heart, I'm sure that He will find Him. Because "who seeks shall find"
