We've just taken the great Linval Thompson on to our Jamdown Artist Booking roster for 2007.

Linval's got a whole heap of releases coming out, including some classic re-issues and some new tracks with Faithless, Groove Corp, Bugz In The Attik, Capleton, Turbulence, Sly & Robbie and more, and will be touring (backed by London's Ruff Cut band from April onwards).

Legendary roots and dancehall instigator...Linval Thompson's reputation as one of the finest reggae artists from the roots-renaissance is rightfully assured. His work as a vocalist spans a dozen albums and 80 singles. As a producer he's work with a “who’s who” of reggae’s golden age. In his most prolific years, Thompson produced recordings of Freddie McGregor, Dennis Brown, Barry Brown, Barrington Levy, Eek-A-Mouse, Gregory Isaacs, The Wailing Souls, Cornel Campbell, Johnny Clarke, Johnny Osbourne, The Viceroys, Delroy Wilson, Horace Andy and Sugar Minott, among many others....Linval will be touring to promote several releases including ‘Medley 2007’ featuring Turbulence on Thompson Sound (Mar’07), ‘Mariguana’ remix featuring Maxi Jazz from Faithless on Trojan Rcds/Sanctuary, a single with Capleton (April’07), an album with Sly & Robbie, Bugz In Da Attic and G.Corp, ‘The Early Years’ CD/DVD AND releases due on French label Makasound, so there's no doubt that any shows will be well and truly in the public eye.
