"This is the "Mouse" and I need to say this to all my fans, and the world.
Reggae is a Jamaican National treasure, and it is about time the people of Jamaica and its government look into making it so. Reggae, and the people that created it, are misused and exploited. We must look into the issue of eradicating those people who have, and are misusing our cultural heritage and music without the uttermost respect of our culture and music.
Billions of dollars have been made off of our music without those making billions giving back to our poor island in the sun. Bands such as UB40, Ace of Bass, The Police, Big Mountain, Men At Work, Seed, Culture Kandella, Culture Club, Gentleman, Matisyahu, and now Collie Buddz. Has any of these band's given back to Jamaica? Have they built anything in Jamaica for the people of Jamaica?
Most of the innovator's of Reggae music die poor, and/or are hungry and suffering in Jamaica. They have been robbed of their royalties and rights by record labels, and so called management.
I being one of the unique Artists in Reggae and the universe has also been robbed by these record labels, and management. I was told that if I was "white" or light brown like Shaggy, and Sean Paul I would have been a rich superstar.
Reggae is bigger than "Bob Marley", yet the industry keeps undermining we, the Jamaican reggae music originators. It hurts to see how those that originated reggae music are robbed, disrespected, and overlooked for opening doors for many to become billionaires, and millionaires off of our creation, yet we continue to suffer, and be forgotten. Kind of like slavery.
As I continue to present this original music to the fans, and the world. I will remember, and respect those that have made reggae music what it has become. Music from the downtrodden underprivileged people of Jamaica, a little island in the sun of the West Indies, to an international music of the world. I love reggae, because reggae is me the "EEK". Bong Ding Ding."
