Wake the town and tell the people!
It is now official: Sly & Robbie, Bitty Mc Lean and Guillaume Bougard signed up to produce a new studio album, which will be recorded in Kingston this Fall with other top notch musicians such as Tyrone Downie, Dougie Bryan, Sticky Thompson, Dean Fraser… The album will be released jointly by Taxi and 48Bits in 2007.
Bitty has just completed two tracks on Taxi riddims which will be released in June as an appetizer:
1. "Real thing" is done over the original "Hold on to what you got" riddim, to which the multitalented Bitty added a scorching organ phrase;
2. "All that I have" over a new acoustic instrumental only Sly & Robbie are capable of.
In the coming days, these two tracks will be posted on Bitty's and Sly & Robbie's myspace pages, respectively:
